Here's what Max says about this link: "The Zen Garden is a CSS museum/archive, where you can only download the HTML and cannot under any circumstances touch the markup; the only thing you can manipulate is the CSS file. They have some really nice work there, it speaks volumes of what CSS and standards-based HTML can do."

There hasn't been a new button here in awhile because I've been busy creating a new web-based design major. Check it out at: http://imedia.dana.edu

Still my favorite net art piece even though it is five years and several browser versions old. Beautiful images, sound, and interaction in a self-contained work by German artist Reiner Strasser.

Here's an interesting Flash piece that I found on Boing, Boing (http://boingboing.net/) that, although highly scripted, offers the viewer a powerful cultural, social, and visual commentary on "nakedness". I am particularly struck by the juxtaposition of what are very individual clothing choices with what are very individual body types. The audio enriches the project with an oral history that further individualizes the participants.

A viewer may want to use some discretion in opening this piece at work or in another public place.

I understand that there is soon to be a new animated comic on this site. This is what I know so far: "Monday night I had a dream about a cartoon character. I managed to draw a picture of him. In the dream he was referred to as "The Asshole Squirrel," he was quite a jerk and rather rude. After I drew him I named him Bouffant. He is said to have contracted rabies after being bitten by a human. He secretly uses Rogaine to keep his tail from going bald.

So that's the beginning...."

For Ted's teenage children's entertainment, a little something I "learned" from my students.
