Art.103 Two-Dimensional Design

Web Portfolio
Your homepage must include a self-portrait image (very loosely defined) that is an appropriate visual description of yourself as an artist, designer, and potential employee.

You must also include your name and a "mailto" for email responses. (Do not include any contact information other than the mailto on a web page.)

You must also have a navigational system which includes links to an about you page and your gallery.

Do not use any images, backgrounds, or animated gifs that are not your own.

Gallery
Your gallery must include the following 72 ppi images:
1. The scan outline of your compositional analysis projects. Export this image as save for web a gif in a size smaller than 800 x 600 pixels (that is, the height should not exceed 600 and the width should not exceed 800.) Also include a scan of the original images you used for this assignment. (Three of each.)
2. Recreate your static shape motif piece by creating a table and placing your rotated gifs into place so that they match your final eps file design.
3. Your interactive motif piece(s)
4. A digital photograph of your collage. Make sure the photo is of a high quality and presents the work straight on without distortions. Save your digital photo as a save for web jpeg in a size no bigger than 800 x 600 pixels.
5. Your typographic Bill of Rights composition saved for web.

Technical Guidelines
You must also have a navigational system which includes links back to your homepage. You must also provide the viewer with some method of deciding what they might want to see in your gallery. This could include a thumbnail page, text descriptions with links, or a linear gallery "walk." If images are larger than 42k, you must include a size description as well.

No file in your directory should exceed 98k. All file names must be in lowercase with no spaces or punctuation.

Your work will be graded from the online site. (Make sure you've checked all the links on a different machine than the one where you created the site.) Turn in a CD of your site directory as well.
