Art.340 iMedia Design III The student will participate in critique of the work of self and others, practicing the use of a design vocabulary. The student will utilize design concepts in making visual choices in creating web pages. The student will present evidence of having engaged in proscribed and self-generated research, ideation and revision processes. The student will design sites that present individualized creative problem-solving within focused parameters. The student will create inter-dependent web pages in which interactive behaviors and navigation support and enhance the content of site. The student will create a web site that demonstrates an understanding of the assumptions underlying the discipline of his/her concentration. The student will create web sites that demonstrate the ability to target materials for a particular audience. The student will create web sites that demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between file formats and sizes and the speed with which a web page loads as well as between monitor resolution, page size, image size, and browser specification across platforms. The student will create web sites that demonstrate an ability to manipulate and export/import multimedia elements in appropriate file formats to web and the ability to integrate sound, motion, image, text, and navigation to enhance site content. The student will design a site to house his/her work that demonstrates the ability to apply learned design and technical skill sets from one application to another. The student will design a site to house his/her work that demonstrates an understanding of his/her relationship to the global digital community and professionally presents his/her work.
