Teaching Methodology

This course is focused on experiential learning and will be taught in the computer lab with formal and informal critique sessions. Demonstrations related to the software will be presented during studio sessions.

It is the student's responsibility to seek out information and support in learning new software from faculty and peers. Working with technology requires lifelong learning and collaboration within the computing community. Students are expected to be both teachers and learners in the classroom. Students with little or no experience using computers can succeed in this class, but they must realize that they will need to spend considerable additional time outside of class.

Students are expected to participate in critique and to use appropriate design vocabulary in their critiques.

Student work from this class may be posted as examples on future web sites housing course materials for this class, including on www.dana.edu, imedia.dana.edu, and on www.starlastensaas.net.
