Course Objectives & Intended Outcomes
The student will participate in critique of the work of self and others, practicing the use of a design vocabulary.
The student will design compositions using a proscribed ideation and revision process.
The student will create a composition in which a transformation of one element to another takes place using positive and negative shape.
The student will create compositions which demonstrate an understanding of typography as a descriptive mark.
The student will utilize design concepts in making visual choices in creating web pages.
The student will create web pages that demonstrate an ability to import images in appropriate file formats for web.
The student will create images for web pages that demonstrate basic image manipulation and production skills.
The student will create web pages that demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between files size and the speed with which a web page loads.
The student will create web pages that demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between monitor resolution, page size, and image size.
The student will demonstrate a basic understanding of web site navigation by developing a navigational strategy.
