Art.240 iMedia Design II
Course Objectives & Intended Outcomes
The student will participate in critique of the work of self and others, practicing the use of a design vocabulary.
The student will utilize design concepts in making visual choices in creating web pages.
The student will present evidence of having engaged in proscribed and self-generated ideation and revision processes.
The student will create a composition in which interactive behaviors enhance the content of text and/or image.
The student will create web pages that demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between files size and the speed with which a web page loads and between monitor resolution, page size, and image size.
The student will prepare images for web pages that demonstrate image production skills in creating slices and layers for use with Javascript in an interactive web environment.
The student will create web pages that demonstrate an ability to manipulate and export/import multimedia elements in appropriate file formats to web.
The student will design a site to house his/her work that demonstrates the ability to apply learned design and technical skill sets from one application to another.
The student will design a site to house his/her work that includes an archive of previous work and documents his/her development as a designer through a published body of work.
The student will design a site to house his/her work that demonstrates an introductory understanding of his/her relationship to the global digital community.
