Grading & Standards of Achievement

The final grade for the course will be assigned based on the following percentages:

eCard 20%
Documentary Site 20%
Design site 20%
Intuitive narrative hypertext 20%
Daily Assignment Grades 20%

The following standards of achievement will be used in evaluating assignments. Each assignment description includes the intended outcomes (objectives) which are evaluated using the following grading/standards scale as follows:

97-100 Superior, met all expectations without flaws, exceeded expectation in some part of the work A+
90-96 Excellent, met all expectations and requirements without errors or with only minor flaws. A
87-89 Very good, achieved nearly all requirements or met all goals but with minor errors or noticable flaws. B+
80-86 Above average, met all or most goals but with noticable flaws, errors, or difficulties B
77-79 High average, good effort but with specific weaknesses or errors C+
70-76 Low average, satisfactory but with major weaknesses, errors, difficulties and/or questionable effort C
67-69 Below average, indicating difficulties and marginal results D+
60-66 Barely passing, weak effort/results suggest significant difficulties D
0-59 Failing, did not meet minimum standard of expectation F
