When choosing settings for a JPEG, the higher the quality, the better the image quality (and the bigger the file size.) You can also blur a jpeg a little and often cut down on the file size. Try .1 and see how the image looks. |

You can also see how the image will look on a Windows platform and on a Macintosh platform in the Photoshop Save for Web dialog box. At the bottom of the window, you can preview your setting in Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. Be aware, however, that no preview can duplicate what you will see across platforms and across browsers when your site is actually on a server. Checking your work on a variety of computers is important. |
SAVE your image directly into your SITE folder as a gif or jpeg. Your file names should be eight characters or less, lowercase, using no spaces or punctuation.
